Marriage Equality Celebration: 2015 SCOTUS Ruling Party

Marriage equality is predicted to be the law of the land by the end of June.

The case known as Obergefell v. Hodges, heard by the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) in April, addresses the state level requirement to license a marriage between two people of the same sex and whether states have to recognize same sex marriage licenses from other states under the 14th Amendment.

While the court could issue a partial ruling requiring only that states recognize all marriage licenses from other states, legal experts say a sweeping ruling in favor of marriage equality is more likely.

No matter the ruling, supporters of marriage equality are invited to gather with St. John's and friends on the evening the SCOTUS ruling is made public. The most likely date is June 22nd. The 2nd most likely date is June 29th. Note that these are only predictions. We will be prepared to gather at 7:00pm on whatever date the announcement is made.

Let's celebrate together! We encourage you to "join" this event so that you receive updates and watch closely as the date draws near.
